Quality and certifications
Quality is a central element of GTS Well Components’ business and involves every stage of the company process, from the selection of raw materials to production, through to the final inspections on products.
To guarantee high standards of reliability, safety and regulatory compliance, GTS adopts certified management systems and control procedures that ensure the traceability of materials, the qualification of production processes and the continuous improvement of its performance.
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
GTS Well Components operates under a Quality Management System certified to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 by Bureau Veritas Italia.
The certification, obtained and maintained over time through periodic verification audits, attests to the company’s ability to guarantee controlled organisational processes, consistent quality standards and a continuous focus on customer satisfaction and on improving company performance.
Qualification of welding processes
The quality of metalworking is guaranteed by welding procedures qualified and certified by TÜV SÜD in accordance with EN ISO 15614-1.
The qualifications cover the following processes:
- PAW Plasma (full-penetration linear welding on stainless steel pipes)
- Automated and manual MIG/MAG
- TIG
The work is carried out by personnel qualified and certified in accordance with EN ISO 9606-1.
GTS also relies on specialised technicians to carry out non-destructive testing, qualified to level 2 in accordance with ISO 9712.
Control and conformity of materials
GTS applies verification and traceability procedures to the raw materials used in its production processes.
For steel components, materials compliant with the specifications of EN 10217-1 are used, accompanied by the relevant inspection documentation.
For polymer components intended for specific applications, such as contact with water intended for human consumption, materials compliant with the requirements of DM 174/2004 are used.
This system makes it possible to guarantee the conformity of the materials used and full traceability throughout the entire production cycle.
Occupational health and safety
GTS has implemented an organisational system dedicated to protecting the health and safety of workers, developed in line with the principles of ISO 45001.
The aim is to prevent risks, promote a safe working environment and foster the continuous improvement of operating conditions within the company.
Conformity documentation and traceability
For supplies intended for specific applications, GTS Well Components issues the conformity documentation required by current regulations and by the order specifications.
Thanks to a structured system for tracing materials and production processes, GTS is able to guarantee the traceability of the raw materials used and full correspondence between the technical documentation and the finished product.
In particular, where applicable, the following are provided:
- Declarations of conformity for the order;
- Declarations of conformity with DM 174/2004 for materials and components intended for contact with drinking water;
- Documentation certifying compliance with the technical standards applicable to the product supplied;
- 3.1 inspection certificates for materials, issued by the manufacturer and attached to the supply documentation.
Certifications and regulatory compliance
GTS Well Components issues only declarations and certifications supported by specific regulatory, legislative or contractual references applicable to the product and its intended use. Where there are no harmonised standards, legal provisions or technical requirements that call for a given certification, it cannot be issued. The company therefore guarantees technical documentation that complies with the requirements actually applicable, in accordance with current regulations and with the principles of fairness and transparency towards the customer.
